‘Two Trains Running’

The August Wilson Center for African American Culture presents “Two Trains Running” at 1 p.m. at the August Wilson Center Theater, 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. This is part of Wilson’s Aunt Ester Cycle, which features plays with the Aunt Ester character. Jazz collaboration

The Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild Jazz presents Stanley Jordan and Jake Shimabukuro at 7 p.m. at the MCG Jazz Hall, 1815 Metropolitan St., Manchester. This is a jazz collaboration with the Guitar Society of Fine Art. An exciting double bill features each artist in the venerated solo format. The guitar wizardry of Jordan has taken the sonic pallet of the instrument to a new level. Hawaiian-born Shimabukuro performs with his native ukulele and is renowned for lightning-fast fingers and revolutionary playing techniques. Literary bindings
