Out & About at CJ’s celebrating Esther Bush’s birthday

This week I visited Questions Nite Club in the Strip District, The Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood, CJ’s in the Strip District, The Black Beauty Lounge in the Hill District and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Downtown Pittsburgh.

My first stop was Questions Nite Club in the Strip District where Melvina Bradford held her own happy hour for friends and family. Everyone came out to party and get their drink on with Melvina as she partied and danced the night away.

My next stop was the August Wilson Center for African American Culture where Pittsburgh’s Next Generation of Music Legends presented an event called “Pittsburgh’s Tribute to Motown Record’s 50th Anniversary.” This event featured local artists who paid tribute to the artists from Motown by singing their hits and giving the audience a great show plus a tribute to Michael Jackson.

My next stop was the Black Beauty Lounge in the Hill District where Ronetta held her birthday party and everyone came out to help her celebrate the festive occasion. Food, fun and fellowship were the highlights of this event.

My next stop was CJ’s in the Strip District where birthday girl Esther Bush of the Urban League held a birthday celebration with friends and family. It was a great time for everyone who attended. Esther, may you have many more birthdays.

My final destination was the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood where Wyld Chyld Entertainment presented the “Black and Gold Halloween Cabaret Masquerade Ball” featuring Mr. Wyld Chyld on the 1’s and 2’s and Tami as the hostess. If you missed this event, you really missed out. Everyone came out wearing their black and gold costumes and had a great time.
