“The public school system needs to be improved in order to positively impact the students later in life. Added to that, there are not enough Black men in college. Most jobs need some college and that’s one way to get ahead and to improve the state of Black males in Pittsburgh.”
Christopher Wood

“First, Black males need some education and role models beside basketball and football players. They can look up to the Black men in the community who work in different areas, like sanitation or carpentry, for example.”

“Black men need jobs. The younger Black men need to go to school. They need their education to get us out of the ghetto.”

“They  need a program that allows convicted felons to work their way back into the community and society. It does not need to be easy for them to get Social Security benefits that enable negative patterns of behavior.”

“They have to do what it takes to be men. It will improve the state of Black males everywhere when they take care of themselves, their families and their responsibilities.”
