Sweetwater Center for the Arts and Clearview Federal Credit Union present The 6th Annual Clearview Federal Credit Union Sweet Jazz Music Series from 7-9 p.m. at 200 Broad St., Sewickley. Every Friday in February Sweetwater will use their series to showcase local talent. This week’s featured entertainer will be the Howie Alexander. He performs an ecletic mix of traditional and contemporary jazz. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the event for members and $12 in advance and $15 the day of the event for non-members. Jazz review

The New Horizon Theater Inc. presents The Jazz Review Mixed with Gospel and Negro Spirituals at 7:30 p.m. at the Kelly-Strayhorn Theater, 5941 Penn Ave., East Liberty. The evening’s featured entertainer will be Levi Barcourt. This live music concert pays tribute to some of the world’s best innovators and recording artists in the world of jazz. There will also be a mix of short stories and spoken mixed into the music. There cost is $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students. The review will run Feb. 12-14.
