Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited the Fire House in the Strip District, Grace Presbyterian Church in the Hill District, Hard Rock Café in Station Square, South Side 86 on the South Side, The Black Beauty Lounge, Kenny’s Place and the Red Onion, all in the Hill District and CJ’s in the Strip District.

First I want to give my condolences to the entire Whack family of the Hill District. Eric Whack, a long-time friend and resident of the Hill District, passed away and a tribute was held at Grace Presbyterian Church in his honor to celebrate his outstanding life. Those who knew him will miss him and he will live on in our hearts forever.

The Black Beauty Lounge celebrating 35 years. Congratulations to you, Ms. Bert.

My first stop was at the Red Onion in the Hill District where state Rep. Jake Wheatley held an event presented by Tom of Big Tom’s Barber Shop. Everyone came out to show their support for Jake and it was a great time for everyone.

My next stop was at the Fire House in the Strip District where everyone came out to get their party and drink on and dance the night away. This was second time visiting this establishment and it was a mixture of music for everyone to enjoy.

My next stop was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square where Gene Stovall and guest held a concert that was off the chain. This event featured The Common Wealth Family, A-Jaxx and others.

Singer Dell Saunders and the Pittsburgh Steelers at South Side 86 on the South Side of Pittsburgh.

My next stop was at South Side 86 on the South Side where B. Marshall Productions held an event called “Love and Lust” featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers who came out to represent the black and gold.

My next stop was at the Black Beauty Lounge in the Hill District where they held their 35th anniversary. It was an appreciation party for the customers who came and ate good food and listen to great music.

My next stop was at Kenny’s Place in the Hill District where Hova and Dee got engaged in front of everyone. It was history in the making as these two will now become Mr. and Mrs. Cruse very soon. Congratulations to you both from Brotha Ash and may you have many more years together as husband and wife.

My final destination was CJ’s in the Strip District where everyone came out and enjoyed oldies but goodies night. You really get a good workout going to CJ’s on Friday, but you should check this establishment out during the week also because they have entertainment all week long.

You know Brotha Ash has a REAL CONNECTION to the community. Send all your party and event information to info@BrothaAshProductions.com and I’ll see you next week OUT AND ABOUT!
