Women’s conference

MAY 1—The Center for Urban Biblical Ministry and Baptist Temple Church, 7241 Race St., Homewood, will host “It’s Your Time! Unlock the Doors!” Women in Ministry Conference from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The conference is for unlocking the doors of women in the ministry through an examination of historical, cultural, theological and denominational aspects of women in ministry. Awareness concert

MAY 2—The Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force will host a concert in Observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day from 4-6 p.m. at Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty. The theme is “There is a Balm in Gilead.” Special guests include the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir, which performed at the G-20 Summit; the Mt. Mother’s Day dinner

MAY 7—The ChurchLife Ministry and the Women’s Ministry of Petra International Ministries, 235 Eastgate Dr., East Hills, will host the M.O.M.: Made of Miracles Mother’s Day Dinner Dance Gala from 6-10 p.m. at the Rivers Club, 301 Grant St., Downtown. Family conference

JUNE 9—The Lord’s Church, 2517 Haymaker Rd., Monroeville, will host the International New Life Conference 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Monroeville Convention Center, 101 Monroeville Mall Blvd., Monroeville. The theme is “Back to Basics.” There will be special sessions and nightly praise and worship with Rev. Henry Davis Jr. Guest speakers include Apostle John Eckhardt, Rev. Harriet Dennis, Deacon Paul Scott and Bishop Clarence McClendon. The conference will run through June 11. Registration is $25. ONGOING—ONE Church will host Sunday Services at 1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., Downtown. Reverend Deryck Tines is the pastor. This is the service where everybody gathers as ONE in worship.
