‘Radio Golf’

The University of Pittsburgh’s Kuntu Repertory Theatre presents “Radio Golf” by August Wilson at 8 p.m. at Alumni Hall, 7th floor Auditorium, 4227 Fifth Ave., Oakland. This is the last play of the 2009-2010 Season and ends with the final play in Wilson’s 10-play Cycle chronicling Black life in the 20th century. The play is about a successful entrepreneur, Harmond Wilks, who aspires to become the city’s first Black mayor. But when his past comes to light, his campaign is put in jeopardy. Smooth Jazz

Club Duo presents Smooth Jazz Friday’s from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. at the Holiday Inn University Center, 100 Lytton Ave., Oakland. DJ Sly Jock will play music for one’s dancing pleasure and Roland Ford will also get the evening started with line dancing. ‘Jitney’

The Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company presents August Wilson’s  “Jitney” at 8 p.m. at 542 Penn Ave., Cultural District. The play, directed by Mark Clayton Southers, is the seventh in Wilson’s 10-play Cycle and features Sala Udin and an all-star cast. It’s set in 1970s in the Hill District and depicts gypsy-cab drivers who serve Black neighborhoods and depicts the Black experience in the 20th century America.
