Schenley Heights Community Development Program, a faith-based organization located at 3171 Ewart Dr. in the Hill District, made a concerted effort to help those in need. During the course of two months, the students of SHCDP collected more than $450 to be donated to the American Red Cross to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. They chose the Red Cross because of its longstanding history of dedicated assistance to those in most need. The programming of the SHCDP serves approximately 200 students on a daily basis.
