This week I visited the Northside Elks in the Hill District, the cast party of “Jitney” in the Hill District, CJ’s in the Strip District, Babylon in the Strip District, Tim’s Lounge in the Hill District and Club 21 in the Strip District.
My first stop was at Tim’s Lounge in the Hill District where Booda aka Lil Ike celebrated his birthday with family and friends. He is the son of the legendary Sean “Ike” Harris of the Hill District.

My next stop was at Club 21 in the Strip District where Mike Dean and GQ where on the 1’s and 2’s partying with everyone in the city. You have to check out the new club formerly Club Heat in the Strip District.
My next stop was at “Jitney’s” cast party in the Hill District hosted by Sala Udin and Mark Southers. The whole cast was there as they celebrated Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company and the fact that August Wilson’s “Jitney” was their most successful production ever. Congratulations to Mark Southers and the cast and crew of “Jitney.”
My next stop was at the Northside Elks in the Hill District where they celebrated their 106th anniversary. It was a weeklong celebration ending with an African-style cabaret. I have to give a big birthday shout out to the one and only Shirley Watts who is also a member of the Northside Elks.
My next stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where DJ Mike “The Punisher” was on the 1’s and 2’s spinning all the hits for the crowd. If you haven’t come to CJ’s on a Friday night, you don’t know what you’re missing, so check it out.
My final destination was at Babylon in the Strip District where Exclusive Entertainment held an event featuring DJ Nate Da Phat Barber on the 1’s and 2’s while DJ Boogie was on the mic holding it down. This is another new hot spot that is located at 32nd and Smallman Street in the Strip District.
