This week I visited Mellon Park in East Liberty, The Yacht Club in the Strip District, Billy’s Gold Door in Homewood, Club 21 in the Strip District, The Shadow Lounge in East Liberty, CJ’s in the Strip District and the Westin Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh.
My first stop was at Mellon Park in East Liberty where Ed held his 5th Annual Old School Get Together at Mellon Park in Point Breeze where everyone came out to eat good food and have a great time.

My next stop was at the Yacht Club in the Strip District where the ladies came out to kick it with Mike Dean and GQ on the 1’s and 2’s.
My next stop was at Billy’s Gold Door, where everyone knows your name. The legendary hip-hop artist and producer Tuffy Tuff was in the building visiting old friends from the neighborhood.
My next stop was Club 21 in the Strip District where A For The People Insurance Agency held a fundraiser for their new training institute to help people get their license to become licensed insurance agents. Singer Chyp and Andrea hit the stage and sang a medley of songs to help out with the cause.

My next stop was the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty where the community came out to party and kick it with DJ SMI on the 1’s and 2’s.
My next stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where the community came out to enjoy Tony Campbell and his band by listening to classic R&B hits. If you are looking for live entertainment, CJ’s is the place to be.
My final destination was at the Westin Convention Center Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh where the New Pittsburgh Courier held its 50 Women of Excellence Awards honoring women that have left their indelible mark of accomplishment, sacrifice and service on the community. Congratulations to all the awardees, you deserve it.
