Cabaret series

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents its Late Night Cabaret Series with the Pittsburgh Improv Comedy Jam at 10 p.m. at the Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave., Cultural District. Every Thursday until Sept. 23, the city’s best improv performances will take the stage. It’s fast, funny and sophisticated. Tickets are $5 and the event is for individuals 21 years and older. Artistree

The August Wilson Center will host an Evening with Artistree from 6-10 p.m. at 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. Tim Stevens will be the master of ceremonies and special guests for the evening include Rodney McCoy, Flo Wilson and The Old School Band and Vanessa Campagna. Salsa Fridays

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents its Late Night Cabaret Series with Salsa Fridays at 10 p.m. at the Cabaret at Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave., Cultural District. Every Friday throughout the summer, local DJ’s will be spinning the hottest Latin dance music. There will be a performance by recording artists Los Ciegos Del Barrio, a legally blind group of guys performing salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, reggaeton and more. The cost is $10.
