Art exhibit
The August Wilson Center for African American Culture presents “I’ve Known Rivers-Building Bridges” at 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. This exhibit is a showcase of Pittsburgh’s regional visual artists of African decent presentation of an interpretation of Langston Hughes’ poem “The Negro Speaks of Rivers.” It explores the personal connections, historical challenges and physical beauty and symbolic meanings found within the depths of the rivers.
