AUG. 18—TiE Pittsburgh will host “Women Who Lead Us On: Top Female Entrepreneurs Who Are Venturing Into the Newest Technologies” from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Offices of Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., 20th floor, Downtown. AUG. 19— The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host their Business Program Series at 12:15-1 p.m. at the Downtown & Business branch, 612 Smithfield St. The topic is “Better Business Writing: The Key to Effective Email.” Alison Conte, assistant director for Web Communications & Marketing at Duquesne University, will lead the session. Attendees will learn how to effectively communicate your messages and avoid casually written emails that can cause confusion, create misunderstandings and hinder operations.
