Margot James Copeland from Cleveland was elected as the new national president of Links, Inc. More than 2,500 of the 12,000- plus members of The Links, Inc. attended the organization’s 37th National Assembly (June 30-July 4).

The five days of workshops, seminars and key-note speakers was held in Detroit’s Cobo Center. During the event, members of the Links, Inc. elected new officers to lead the organization. The new officers include Copeland; National Vice President Glenda Newell-Harris–Alameda Contra-Costa; National Secretary: Kimberly Jeffries Leonard–Arlington; National Treasurer: Katherine Wilson; Chair, National Nominating Committee: Pamela Gentry–Annapolis, Md., Chapter .
