This week I visited Babylon aka The Yacht Club in the Strip District, CJ’s in the Strip District, the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty and Mr. Kenny’s Place in the Hill District.
My first stop was the Shadow Lounge where DJ J. Malls held his annual event called “Title Town Soul & Funk Party” featuring Gordy G. and Robert Wells (Ann Arbor Soul Club) on the 1’s and 2’s. Everyone came out to this event and it was a packed house.

My next stop was at Babylon aka The Yacht Club in the Strip District where B. Marshall Productions held a going away party for the one and only DJ J-Kruz, formerly of WAMO 106.7 FM. He is going to Dallas, Texas, where he will be and on-air personality at 97.9 The Beat. Congratulations to you Kruz and your friends and fans wish you major success in the future.

My next stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where DJ Nick Nice was on the 1’s and 2’s doing his thing for the crowd. I have to shout out Pat, Lisa and the whole Terrell family along with everyone who came out to celebrate in style at the Limousine event they sponsored.
My final destination was Mr. Kenny’s Place in the Hill District where Merle aka Pumpkin celebrated her birthday with family and friends and great food. The macaroni and cheese was off the chain. Thanks for the invitation, Pumpkin. I had a great time.
