Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited West Club Lounge at Heinz Field on the North Shore, Club Whim Pittsburgh in Station Square, Kelly’s Bar in East Liberty, the North Side Elks Lounge in the Hill District, Denise and Earl’s Bar in Homewood, CJ’s in the Strip District, The Galaxy Club in Homewood, The Shadow Lounge in East Liberty and Ava Lounge in East Liberty.

My first stop was at the Galaxy Club in Homewood where Denise celebrated her birthday with family and friends. Tracey Lee was on the 1’s and 2’s and had the whole party jumping. I have to shout out Dell Saunders, Artistree and Mrs. Jefferson.

My next stop was at Denise and Earl’s Lounge in Homewood where Gwenny Star celebrated her birthday with family, friends and plenty of food. I’m glad you enjoyed your birthday, cousin.

My next stop was at Club Whim Pittsburgh in Station Square where hit producer Nesia Beatz did a video shoot for his new hit song “Hey Girl.” The place was packed with fine women getting their party on and the music was tight, too. Be on the lookout for an exclusive interview from Nesia Beatz coming soon.

My next stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where The New Show Band sang R&B classics to a packed house and had everyone on their feet.

My next stop was at the Shadow Lounge where national recording artist Nikki Jean performed for her fans and brought the house down.

My next stop was at Ava Lounge and Kelly Bar’s in East Liberty where DJ Stephan celebrated his birthday with colleagues, friends and family. I have to shout out Chris Ivey, Janis Burley-Wilson, Terri Bell and Rod Doss for coming out to help Stephan celebrate.

My final destination was at the West Lounge Club at Heinz Hall on the North Shore where the New Pittsburgh Courier held its annual 50 Men of Excellence reception honoring men that have left their indelible mark of accomplishment, sacrifice and service on the community. Congratulations to all of the honorees.
