Savvy Marketing and Urban Kontent Brand presents Bilal Live from 8-10 p.m. at the Shadow Lounge, 5972 Baum Blvd., East Liberty. Bilal is a classical trained vocalist who has performed and collaborated with some of the top artists. Along with Bilal will be DJ Vex, Gene Stovall and Tiara Wiles. Final show

This is the first performance of the 2010-11 season, which celebrates playwrights influenced by Rob Penny. Lou Donaldson

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s JazzLive Series presents Lou Donaldson and his Quartet at 7:30 p.m. at the Cabaret Theater, 655 Penn Ave., Cultural District. Donaldson is a jazz legend and has played with numerous all-star jazz musicians. This is a rare live engagement.
