Light-up night

NOV. 19—PPG Place will host the Pittsburgh Light-Up Night Celebration from 5-9 p.m. at PPG Place Plaza, 4 PPG Place, Downtown. There will be a holiday show, performances and the lighting of the Christmas tree. There will also be festivities on Nov. 20. For more information, call 412-434-1928.

Expressions celebration

NOV. 20—Clear Pathways and YouthPlaces will host their annual Expressions Celebration from 1-4 p.m. at the Hill House Blakey Center, 1908 Wylie Ave., Hill District. There will be performances from the IBEJI Drum Ensemble and saxophonist Jeff Neeley. Along with hip hop dancers, girl scouts and martial art students. The cost is $10. Group dialogue

NOV. 21—The Race & Reconciliation Dialogue Group of St. Paul’s Cathedral will host Income Inequality in America at 2 p.m. at 125 N. Craig St., Oakland. The presenter will be Larry E. Davis, Dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Attendees will hear statistics from the Brandeis Report and Pittsburgh neighborhoods in search of economic justice. Talent showcase

NOV. 24—Lawacit Entertainment and Mark C. Productions will host a Stop the Violence Holiday Talent Showcase at 5 p.m. at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, 5941 Penn Ave., East Liberty. There will be music by DJ Bo and first place winners will receive $500. For more information, call 412-734-1067.

NOV. 25—Mosaic, Promotional Push and R.A.O.K. will host a Thanksgiving Dinner at 1 p.m. at Mosaic, 110 19th St., Strip District. This event is to show appreciation and be a blessing to the communities and people who have been a blessing to them. There is no cost. All class reunion

NOV. 26—The Westinghouse High School Commission of Recognition will host its annual Adult All Class Reunion from 6 p.m.-2 a.m. at the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum, 7310 Frankstown Ave., Homewood. This is a BYOB cabaret style event featuring DJ Mack Daddy and a pre-party featuring music from the 60’s. Proper dress and ID are required. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; proceeds will assist WHS students with scholarships through NEED. Celebration dinner

NOV. 30—The Message Carriers of Pennsylvania Inc. will host a Celebration Dinner at 7:15 p.m. at the Churchill Valley Country Club, 800 Beulah Rd., Churchill. The dinner is to celebrate Judge Lester C. Nauhaus. The Message Carriers celebrate and deliver a message of recovery for all. There will also be a reception at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. Education forum

DEC. 1—The Westinghouse Alumni Association will host the African-American Educators Address Pittsburgh Public Schools East End High Schools Reform Plan Community Education Forum from 6-8 p.m. at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave., 1st conference room, East Liberty. The forum will consist of a panel discussion, by Pittsburgh Public Schools retired teachers and administrators, discussing various topics pertaining to the education such as teacher preparation, retention, classic academics vs. technical schools and more. Open house

DEC. 4—Imagine Environmental Charter School at Frick Park will host an Open House from 10 a.m.-1 2 p.m. at 829 Milton St., Frick Park.
