Citiparks presents “The Strength of Steel: A Tribute to African-American Steelworkers in Pittsburgh” from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the City-County Building Lobby, 414 Grant St., Downtown. The Black history exhibit will feature photographs and other memorabilia honoring the generations of Steelworkers who helped transform the city to the “Steel City.” The exhibit is free and open to the public. Sweet jazz

The Sweetwater Center for the Arts and Clearview Federal Credit Union present the Sweet Jazz Music Series from 7-9 p.m. at 200 Broad St., Sewickley. This is the return of the regular jazz series. Every Friday in February local talent is showcased in a night-club setting with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $8-$15, depending on membership. Black Angels

The Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the Tuskegee Airman and the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Project presents “Black Angels Over Tuskegee” at 4 p.m. at the Byham Theater, 101 6th St., Downtown. This story depicts the life of six men who struggle through the Jim Crow Era and emerge as the first African-American pilots in the US Army Air Force.
