Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited Mélange Bistro Lounge in Downtown, Heinz Hall in Downtown Pittsburgh, Club Rozay in the Strip District, Kenny’s Place in the Hill District, Eastminister Church in East Liberty, Ace and Deuce’s in the Hill District and the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in the Cultural District.

My first stop was at Mélange Bistro Lounge in Downtown where 360 Entertainment held a Pre-Hip-Hop Awards event in which artists performed gearing up for the 5th Annual Hip-hop Awards event.

More fans came out to the 5th Annual Pittsburgh Hip-hop Awards at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture.


My next stop was at the Club Rozay in the Strip District where 360 Entertainment held another Pre Hip-hop Awards event where more artists performed getting ready for the 5th Annual Hip-hop Awards event.

My next stop was at Eastminister Church in East Liberty where the Drummond held a family celebration for the late Stanley Drummond Sr.

My next stop was at Heinz Hall in Downtown Pittsburgh where legendary singers Jerry Butler, Eddie Holman and Johnny Angel and the Halos sang for their fans.

My next stop was at Kenny’s Place in the Hill District where DJ X-Man was on the 1’s and 2’s doing karaoke for the singing patrons.

My next stop was at Ace and Deuce’s in the Hill District where everyone came out to get their party and drink on.

My final destination was at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in the Cultural District where the 5th Annual Pittsburgh Hip-hop Awards event was held for local artists, businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.
