Two Real Times Media Inc. newspapers took home three of the top five MillerCoors A. Philip Randolph Messenger Awards during the NNPA annual convention.
The New Pittsburgh Courier (Christian Morrow—Economic Empowerment) and the Chicago Defender (Kathy Chaney—Breaking News and Wendell Hutson—Sustainability) were among five first-place winners of the 21st annual Messenger Awards presented last week in Chicago. Morrow was also a finalist in the Breaking News category. Chaney was a finalist in the Features category.
