Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited the Monroeville Convention Center, Savoy Restaurant in the Strip District, Kennard Field in the Hill District, Galaxy Lounge and Entertainment Center in Homewood and the Hood-Stop the Violence Rally in the Hill District.

My first stop was at the Monroeville Convention Center where Savoy Restaurant presented the concert Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Confunkshun and Pittsburgh’s own Artistree. There was also an after party with the one and only DJ Sly Jock on the 1’s and 2’s.

My next stop was the 9th Annual Community Appreciation Day presented by state Rep. Jake Wheatley at Kennard Field in the Hill District with vendors and different forms of live entertainment.

My next stop was at the Galaxy Lounge and Entertainment Center where Big D held it down for everyone by having several events called “The Galaxy Customer Appreciation Weekend.” Everyone came out and had a great time and reunited with old friends.

My final destination was at the 10th Annual Hood-Stop the Violence held by Cynthia and Loaf Thomas. Everyone came to hear live music by the Smooth Groove Band, Ikey Bubz and other performers, plus enjoy free food and activities for the kids in the neighborhood. It was great to see everyone get along at this event.

You know Brotha Ash has a REAL CONNECTION to the community. Send all of your party and event information to info@BrothaAshProductions.com and I’ll see you next week OUT AND ABOUT!
