Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood, The African American Heritage Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh, CJ’s in the Strip District, Galaxy Lounge in Homewood and the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty.

My first stop was at the African American Heritage Day Parade in Downtown Pittsburgh where businesses, drill teams, entertainers and people from over the Pittsburgh area came out in the rain to watch everyone march from the Mellon Arena to the August Wilson Center. It was a great time for everyone.

My next stop at the Whiteside Road Reunion Cabaret held at the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood where former residents of the Hill District housing project came together to reunite, party and dance the night away. I have to shout out the Whiteside Road Reunion Committee for always putting together a great event every year.

My next stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where DJ Twan made everyone a star at Karaoke Wednesday. If you are looking for a great time, then CJ’s is the place to be on Wednesdays and throughout the week.

My next stop was at the Galaxy Lounge in Homewood where the Pittsburgh Ruff Ryders held their event called “Wild Out Wednesday’s”. DJ Rok was on the 1’s and 2’s spinning all of the latest hits and everyone was getting their party on.

My final destination was at the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty where everyone came out to party to Nigerian music. The Shadow Lounge always has something a little different than other venues, so come out and have a great time.

You know Brotha Ash has a REAL CONNECTION to the community. Send all of your party and event information to info@BrothaAshProductions.com and I’ll see you next week OUT AND ABOUT!
