Bless the Lord Service

Taize Service

JAN. 11—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 N. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host its Taize Service from 7-8 p.m. This weekly hour-long service includes prayers with chants from Taize/There will prayer, songs, a time of silence, individual prayer and anointing, and more. Singles Café Ministry

JAN. 14—The Singles Café will host their monthly Singles Café Ministry from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Panera Bread, 5430 Centre Ave., Shadyside. This is a ministry for single men and women looking to be educated and empowered on how to establish and maintain healthy, Godly relationships through the Word of God. Open House

JAN. 19—Geneva College at the Center for Urban Biblical Ministry will host an Open House from 6-7:30 p.m. at 7418 Penn Ave., Point Breeze. Evening of Elegance

FEB. 10—The Singles Ministry will host its Valentines Evening of Elegance from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. at The LeMont Restaurant, 1114 Grandview Ave., Mt. Washington. This is an event for singles, daters and couples. It will include good food, music, line dancing, entertainment, prizes and more. The cost is $50 per person or $100 per couple. Black History Program

FEB. 25—Park Place AME Church, 215 E. Tenth Ave., Homestead, will host its 7th Annual Black History Month Celebration Luncheon from 12-2 p.m. at the Second Baptist Fellowship Hall, 612 Coal Rd., West Mifflin. The theme will be “Surviving the Storm.” The special honoree will be New Pittsburgh Courier Editor & Publisher Rod Doss, along with the Hon. Black History Project

FEB. 26—The Christian Education Department of Bethany Baptist Church, 7734 Tioga St., Homewood, will host its 2012 Black History Month Project. Bible Study
