Funky Turns 40

This is an exhibit celebrating the legacy of the first wave of positive Black animated characters of the 1970s. Some of the featured characters are Fat Albert, the Jackson Five, the Harlem Globetrotters and more. The exhibit will run through March 10. Jazz Party

MCG Jazz presents “Once in a Lifetime: The Jazz Party” at 6:30 p.m. at the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, 1815 Metropolitan St., Manchester. This is part of the MCG’s 25th Anniversary Celebration and will feature performances from FIVE PLAY, Marlena Shaw and other Jazz Legends.
