Out & About with Brotha Ash

This week I visited the Holiday Inn in Oakland at Bridges, Savoy Restaurant in the Strip District, Ava Lounge in East Liberty and the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty.

My first stop was at the Holiday Inn in Oakland at Bridges where the Black Political Empowerment Project, in association with the Pittsburgh Jazz Society, presented “A Musical Fun- Raiser for B-PEP” on Easter Monday. Musicians from all over the Pittsburgh area came out to show support for B-PEP.

My next was at the Ava Lounge in East Liberty where even more jazz was being celebrated with Howie and the crew every Monday night. If you haven’t come to Ava for this event, you are really missing out.

My final destination was at the Shadow Lounge where hip-hop band Formula 412 headlined a show for a sold out crowd featuring singer and songwriter Ricardo Iamuuri as the opening act.

You know Brotha Ash has a REAL CONNECTION to the community. Send all of your party and event information to info@BrothaAshProductions.com and I’ll see you next week OUT AND ABOUT!
