OVERTIME

:10 In case you’re wondering two Pittsburgh guys are alive and doing well in the basketball universe. D. J. Kennedy is playing great ball for The Erie BayHawks of the NBA “D” League. D. J. is the son of Pittsburgh City League and University of Cincinnati legend David “Puffy” Kennedy. And Pitt’s own Brad Wannamaker is also in the “D” League playing for the Austin Torros.

:09 Hey I know it’s only been a few weeks but…“aren’t you ready for some football??” I could do with a Steelers/Ravens game right now!

:08 As we speak the Pens…No I am sorry…your Pens are down 3 games to none to Philadelphia. It’s O-VER! See the problem is when the superstar is out and comes back to save the day, the rest of the team starts looking for the miracle and they stop doing what got them there. Oh for you Turtle Creek residents I am talking about Sid “The Kid” Crosby. Wait, hold up a minute…Mr. Broadus do we deliver in Turtle Creek?

:07 Having said that I guess you noticed the Miami Heat play better without Dwayne Wade and yes boys and girls the L.A. Lakers play better without Kobe. I know it’s hard for you to hear, hell it’s hard for me to say, I am a Kobe man, man! But look, if I have two “7 footers” and you have one “7 footer” I should win right? Right! And Kobe won’t pass the ball to either one of them!!!

:06 Oh yeah for your scorecard your…ok our Pittsburgh Pirates are 3-8 so far. They won today so let’s hold off a while before we get the shovels out.

:05 Have you heard about the best kept secret in town? We have a brand new semi pro basketball team in town, the Pittsburgh Bullits. The team is owned and operated by Marcus Robinson, a former high flyin’, slam dunkin’ superstar from Allderdice High School and Point Park University. Your boys “Scoot” aka Gerald Warrick III…the Jam Master…Warren Wilson…former Connie Hawkins League MVP and Amir Johnson, Quaker Valley and Radford University star make up the heart of the teams star power. And hey ya’ll…this ain’t no joke. This is top flight basketball, and most importantly young men…young Black men doing good things. Yep…they got their pants pulled up!!!!

:04 If you don’t know, now you know…Rayco “War” Saunders is still the baddest man in the Valley. Lock this down. He’ll be fighting this Friday on ESPN2 in and around 8:00 pm. The next victim is Columbian Title Holder Eleider Alvarez. The Co-Main Event will be held in Montreal Canada. Don’t…you…dare…miss…it!!!
