Benefit Concert

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services and Creative.Life.Support of Mr. Smalls Funhouse presents the “We Rock Workshop” Benefit Concert at 7:30 p.m. The concert is to raise funds for the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund. Youth involved with the DHS will show off their musical abilities honed through their participation in the “We Rock Workshop,” a 10-week program that teaches youth to open up creatively through music. Jazz Jam Session

CJ’s Restaurant & Lounge presents The Saturday Jazz Jam Session from 5:30-8 p.m. at 2901-2911 Penn Ave., Strip District. There will be live jazz every Saturday afternoon. Jazz Festival

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival at the Cultural District. This is a weekend of jazz music that will feature nationally and internationally re­nowned musicians. The event will feature more than 240 musicians within 72 hours including a ­JazzLive Crawl at 30 venues, a special session on June 1 at 8 p.m. at The Cabaret at Theater Square featuring the Forte Apache Band with Jerry and Andy Gonzalez, and three outdoor stages.
