Jazz Festival
The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents the Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival at the Cultural District. This is an expansive weekend of jazz music that will feature nationally and internationally renowned musicians. The event will feature more than 240 musicians within 72 hours. The weekend will include a JazzLive Crawl at 30 venues, a special session on June 1 at 8 p.m. at The Cabaret at Theater Square featuring the Forte Apache Band with Jerry and Andy Gonzalez, three outdoor stages and much more. The Kelly Strayhorn Theater presents its FULL BLOOM Summer Dance Party at 9 p.m. at 5941 Penn Ave., East Liberty. This is an annual summer dance party that goes from the lobby to the streets. The party will be kicked off by DJ Shoestrings with his Baltimore inspired funk, while the Get Down Gang warms up the dance floor. Featured guest DJ Kalkutta will keep the party going all night with mixes, throwbacks and all the favorite tunes.
