Celebration
SEPT. 21—Robert Wholey & Co. Inc. will host a 100th Anniversary Celebration from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Wholey’s, 1711 Penn Ave., Strip District. This three-day Customer Appreciation Festival, which will run through Sept. 23, will include entertainment, contests, free samples, cooking demonstrations and more. Letter Assistance
SEPT. 21—The Squirrel Hill Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host a Resume and Cover Letter Assistance event from 2-4 p.m. at 5801 Forbes Ave., Squirrel Hill. Every Friday in July and August Shirley Tucker, PhD, an employment counselor, will assist with putting together the resume and cover letters that employers want to see. SEPT. 21—Urban Innovation 21 and Your Classic Event will host a “Youthpreneur” Business Networking Mixer from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at Hosanna House, 807 Wallace Ave., Wilkinsburg. This business mixer will focus on the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. Business space is available to showcase and display one’s product of service. Various professionals will cover topics on small business planning, record keeping and taxes, financing, marketing, and legal aspects.
