Black History Exhibit
The Franklin Center of Beaver County presents a Black History Exhibit from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Broadcast Street Café, 464 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa. The exhibit will commemorate the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln’s signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. There will be historical artifacts and highlight the achievements of African-Americans from Beaver County. The exhibit will be on display Feb. 21-22. Jazz Jam
CJ’s Restaurant & Lounge presents “The Roger Humphries & RH Factor Jazz Jam Session” at 8 p.m. at 2901-2911 Penn Ave., Strip District. There will be live jazz and fun every Thursday night. Borrowed Blues
Demaskus Theater Collective presents “Old, New, Barrowed Blues” Black History Month Reading Series from 7-9 p.m. at the various Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh locations. The three-day series will include plays, “From the Mississippi Delta” by Endesha Ida Mae Holland; “You Wouldn’t Expect” by Marilynn Barner Aselmi; “Special Blues Revue;” and a version of “The Medea of Euripides” by Countée Cullen.
