College Success 101 Conference
MAY 2—The Pittsburgh College Success Collaborative will host the College Success 101 Conference from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. The one-day conference is designed to aid in preparing high school sophomores and juniors in Pittsburgh Public Schools and the surrounding area for the college admission process. Adult Prom
MAY 3—A Giving Heart will host an Adult Prom from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. at the Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh, 107 Sixth St., Downtown. The theme is “Celebrating Under the Stars.” There will be a king/queen crowning, live jazz, photos, a Chinese Auction and more. Proceeds will benefit the homeless. Tennis Clinic
MAY 4—The Highland Park Tennis Club will host its 12th Annual Free Tennis Clinic from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Stanton Tennis Courts at Highland Park, 6700 Stanton Ave., Highland Park. Baseball Parade
MAY 4—Wilkinsburg will host the Wilkinsburg Baseball Opening Day Parade at 10 a.m. at the Wilkinsburg Borough Building, 605 Ross St., Wilkinsburg. Anniversary Reception

Community Health Forum
MAY 6—The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, the Clinical Translational Science Institute and the New Pittsburgh Courier will host a Community Health Forum from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Thelma Lovette YMCA, 2114 Centre Ave., Hill District. The topic will be “Take Charge of Your Health Today. Be Informed. Be Involved.” Jeannette E. South-Paul, MD, will be the keynote speaker. There will be an overview on the health status of African-Americans in Allegheny County, a community health panel and more. There will also be a question-answer session and light refreshments. Spring Clothes Out
MAY 8—UPMC Health Plan will host the 2013 Clothes Out from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. Seminar Series
MAY 9—The Alzheimer Disease Research Center and Alzheimer Outreach Center of the University of Pittsburgh will host the Walter Allen Memorial Seminar Series at 1 p.m. at the Hill House Kaufmann Center, 1835 Centre Ave., Hill District. The topic will be “Informed Consent: What We Need to Know about Participating in Clinical Research.” Ishan C. Williams, PhD, of the University of Virginia will discuss her current research. Ladies’ Night Out
