(NNPA)—Dear Gwendolyn:
Six months ago, I was in the process of building my house. One morning a construction worker delivered the kitchen cabinets. He accidentally ran his truck into the corner of my side porch. He agreed to fix it himself—begging me not to report the incident to his foreman.
Gwendolyn, I am 65 and the man that is in love with me is 32. All my adult life I have been misused at work, by my family and people from all venues of life. Before meeting this man, I had come to the conclusion all people were cruel and unkind. But this man is perfect.–Leslie
Dear Leslie:
There is too much of an age difference. I suggest you end your relationship with this ‘perfect’ man immediately. Let me tell you this: I strongly feel the accident was staged. Elderly women with money are prime prey to men with none.
I want you to seriously think about your feelings. Too bad no one told you that the world will chew you up, spit you out, and stomp your body into the ground. People will treat you the way you allow them to do. Let no one cause you to have an unhappy day. Some people (especially family and co-workers) are so miserable the only joy they receive is when they have made others feel the same. Think about it. Whatever they say or do, ignore. Never stop to give thought to people who possess—an ignorant mind.
