PITTSBURGH (AP) — Authorities in western Pennsylvania say two men were shot and killed in separate locations in the Pittsburgh area.
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office says 36-year-old Lamar Pondexter was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the Carrick neighborhood.
Thirty-four-year-old James Lipford of Homewood was shot in Penn Hills, about 10 miles east of Pittsburgh, and pronounced dead just after 4:30 a.m. at UPMC Mercy.
City and county detectives have not announced any arrests in either slaying.
