FOX CHAPEL, Pa. (AP) – Police say they needed reinforcements from several surrounding departments to break up a house party with an estimated 700 guest that was disrupting traffic in an upscale Pittsburgh suburb.

Although Friday’s party remained under investigation, Fox Chapel police Chief David Laux (LAWX) says he doesn’t anticipate charging the 31-year-old host who reportedly charged $30 admission in hopes of making some quick money.

Police say most of the guests were 18 to 24, meaning some would have been too young to drink the alcohol being served. Police say it took about three hours for police to clear the scene, though the chief says the party guests complied with police.

The chief says neighbors didn’t complain about noise. Guests simply ran out of parking space and began clogging a nearby road with parked cars, prompting complaints.
