Jazz Jam
CJ’s Restaurant & Lounge presents “The Roger Humphries & RH Factor Jazz Jam Session” at 8 p.m. at 2901-2911 Penn Ave., Strip District. There will be live jazz and fun every Thursday night. Call & Response Exhibition
The August Wilson Center for the African American Culture presents the Call & Response Exhibition from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at the AWC, the Remix Right Gallery, 980 Liberty Ave., East Liberty. The exhibit will run through Aug, 31 and feature eight oil paintings by local artist Marlana Adele Vassar, an AWC Fellow for the 2012-2013 season. For more information, call 412-258-2700.
Pittsburgh Blues Festival
Peoples Natural Gas will host the Pittsburgh Blues Festival 2013 at Hartwood Acres, Pittsburgh. The annual festival, which runs through July 21, will feature blues artists such as Joe Louis Walker, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, The Nightwalks with Billy Price and more.
