L.C. GREENWOOD
NOTE: This is a special presentation of Overtime, in memory of Mr. L.C. Greenwood, one of the greatest football players of all time, as well as one of the greatest people of all time. Here’s to you “Hollywood Bags.”
:10 You’ve heard it time and time again and I will continue to shout from the roof tops. PUT—L.C. Greenwood in the NFL Hall of Fame. Anything less is just criminal.

:09 Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969 and went on to become the team’s sack leader. 73 all total and led the team six times.
:08 A member of the greatest defensive line in the history of pro football along with “Mean Joe” Greene, Dwight “Mad Dog” White, and Ernie “Fats” Holmes.
:07 A four time Super Bowl champion, L.C. played a major role in each game, even though injured in two of them.
:06 At defensive end, L.C. stood 6’6” and tipped the scales at 245 pounds. Clearly smaller by today’s standards. Off the field a pure gentleman…on the field 245 pounds of mean and nasty!
:05 He wore the specially designed gold shoes so that announcers would credit him with the tackles he made. True story!
:04 He was named to the NFL 1970’s “All Decade” Team…but he’s not in the Hall of Fame c’mon man, No really…c’mon man!!!
:03 He was named to the NFL “All Pro Teams” in 1974 and 1975.
:02 His was the last serious hit put on Dallas Hall of Fame Quarterback Roger Staubach that sent him into retirement.
:01 He was, in fact, a super player, a great man, successful entrepreneur and a good friend to many and will be missed.
