OCT. 31—The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Business Series from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at the Downtown and Business Location, 612 Smithfield St., Downtown. The topic will be “WORKshop: Developing a Career at UPMC.” A human resources representative from UPMC will be on hand to walk seminar attendees through the entire application and hiring processes. Attendees are asked to bring their resume to be updated in order to get maximum exposure to UPMC recruiters. This is a free event, seating is limited and on a first-come basis. NOV. 3—Classic Events! will host a Business/ Political Networking Mixer at 3 p.m. at St. James AME Church, 444 Lincoln Ave., East Liberty.
