PGH Playwrights Theatre Festival in Black & White Holiday Treat

For a decade the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company has been bringing to the Steel City the provocative “Theatre Festival in Black & White.”

We’re very excited about the 10th Annual Theatre Festival in Black & White – Holiday Edition!

The signature one-act plays, running Dec. 5 through 17, are a holiday treat and have won rave reviews.

Pittsburgh Playwrights pairs Black directors with white playwrights and white directors with black playwrights. There are two programs of one-act plays, ticketed separately.
“This is an opportunity for Pittsburgh theatre artists from different backgrounds to work together in a professional environment and learn from one another about their craft and their respective cultures,” says Mark Clayton Southers, Playwrights founder.

Showtimes are:
Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company, founded by Mark Clayton Southers in 2003, is committed to developing and showcasing the works of local playwrights; from accomplished masters like August Wilson and George S.
