:10 For the life of me, I have no clue as to why you people have so little faith. #1 ~ The Steelers…I am sorry, your Steelers, I predicted, would beat the Lions Sunday by 10, and that “My Player-Hater” friend you can take to the bank. The free checking bank, the get a free toaster bank, the we won’t bounce your check bank. You name it, I don’t care, Just Go To The Bank!!!
:09 Ok, ok. Clearly this is not a sports item, but can someone please tell me what they’re doing in the Squirrel Hill Tunnels. Traffic is always backed up to Toronto, yet I ride through there after a nine hour wait and nothing is any different inside the tunnel. I am just saying!
:08 To no one’s surprise, Andrew McCutchen walked away with the National League M.V.P. and deservedly so. As M.V.P.’s go, he has done the most of any player in the league to help his team’s success.
:07 I know you’ve been missing it so here it is, and this is a good one. Run, DO – NOT – WALK to see “The Best Man Holiday.” Rarely is the sequel better than the original, but this one lives up to the hype. Great story line, great writing, superior acting, beautiful people and most of all, some real life moments. You’re going to love it. I give it 4 out of 5 basketballs and I will go see it again. (I know, I know you’re wondering what movie gets five basketballs. Once again, here’s a clue. “The Godfather,” “The Magnificant Seven,” “Casino,” “The Outlaw Josey Wells,” and “Crash.” Get it now?!?)
:06 Gotta be honest here. Yes, I am in a different spot, but it seems like wherever I go, the Steelers are the same stupid or as the old folks used to say “Stuck On Stupid.” Stay with the game plan man. Run the ball. Play aggressive. Run no huddle. Do what you did to get here. (But don’t get it twisted, they still win by 10.)
:05 Hey, just so ya know if you want to learn how to better spend your money, plan on going to the Financial Wellness Workshop being given by my new best friends at the Abundant Life Ministries, Saturday, Dec. 7 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at St. Benedict the Moor School. Call or RSVP with Ms. Laural Walker at 412-969-1522.
:04 I keep askin’ and nobody has given me an answer. What about O.J.? You people are heartless. Just heartless!
:03 Alright you big time city folks, it’s time to double up. Let’s finish up strong. You’ve got to keep up your tremendous support for the City League football teams and then you gotta turn around and get ready for hoop season. That’s the kind of support that helps shut down the shooting and the violence. I love ya City League.
:02 Marcus Robinson, the president and star of the Pittsburgh Bullets pro-basketball team has his season off and running. Go on-line and check out the schedule and support our hometown hoopers and come see Marcus inducted into the Connie Hawkins League Hall of Fame at the Willie Stargell Pittsburgh MVP Awards Banquet, Saturday, Dec.7. Call the Champions at 412-628-4856 for more information.
:01 This just in. Calvin Johnson, a.k.a. “Megatron,” is everything they say he is.
:00 See the celebration at the 38th Annual Willie Stargell Pittsburgh MVP Awards Banquet, Saturday, Dec.7, also honoring Steelers legend Greg Lloyd and the Penn Hills Eagles Track Club Regional and National Champions. The keynote speaker will be internationally known Federal District Court Judge Reggie Walton of Donora, Pa., at the Wyndham University Center in Oakland (formerly the Holiday Inn)-6 p.m. cocktail reception – 7 p.m. dinner – 8 p.m. awards – business attire – parking in UPMC garage only $5 – quality vendors – 50/50 raffle – tickets only $50 – call the Champions at 412-628-4856 for more information.
