about quit smoking classes in your area.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health Free Quitline: This hotline provides telephone support at 1-800-QUIT NOW. This 24-hour, toll-free line has counselors who are available any time, day or night, every day. They also can connect callers with local services.
Tobacco Free Allegheny: Located in Allegheny County, this coalition serves as a resource to the community by providing education on all aspects of tobacco use and the harmful side effects of secondhand smoke. The Web site www.tobaccofreeallegheny.org is accessible to anyone and provides local resources, information and policies on smoking in Allegheny County.
SmokeFree: An online resource, www.smokefree.gov allows people to choose the type of help that is right for them. The Web site offers a step-bystep guide to quitting smoking, instant messaging to an expert at LiveHelp service and free articles and booklets that can be downloaded, printed or ordered.
