Soul-Patrol: 'New Millennium Slow Jams Playlist'

All I Could Do Was Cry
I realize that I have been talking about a lot of “old music” lately. Some might even call it “ancient.”
Here is some music I have been listening to from this century that some of y’all might have “slept on.”
I call these “New Millennium Slow Jams.”
I realize that a few of you might be under the impression that there haven’t been any great slow jams created since 1977. Nothing could be further from the truth.
While the culture that once defined “slow jams” is yet another thing that Black folks decided long ago to destroy, there have been many artists who have decided to ignore the wishes of Black folks, and continued to create the music anyhow.
This list is just a sampling.
If you aren’t hip to some of these songs, I strongly recommend copy/paste some of these titles into the YouTube search engine, give these songs a whirl and see if you don’t agree with me?
If you are more ambitious, go to iTunes, download these tracks and create your very own “New Millennium Slow Jams Playlist.” Add a bottle of wine to the mix and set yourself up for a 5 hour make out session.
Trust me, your significant other will thank you in the morning…
