Harvey Weinstein, whose company is releasing the biopic “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” in the United States this month, hailed Mandela in a statement.

We are deeply saddened by his loss; our hearts go out to his family and the entire South African nation.”
The film premiered in London on Thursday night.
