Season2Give Program
DEC. 21—The Children’s Sickle Cell Foundation will host its annual Season2Give Program from 7 a.m-5 p.m. at the Children’s Institute, 1405 Shady Ave., Pittsburgh. The program supports families with children with Sickle Cell by giving the child and their siblings gifts. Volunteers are needed. For more information, call 412-488-2723.
Rites of Passage Program
DEC. 21—Seshemet Community Council will host its Rites of Passage Program from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Homewood Carnegie Library, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. The program will run through May and is for males and females ages 11-18. It will include sessions on knowledge of culture and history, community service, parental involvement, health, self-esteem, conflict resolution and leadership.
