PITTSBURGH (AP) – Police have identified a man they say is responsible for killing a man who’d been credited with saving a 16-year-old girl stabbed at a Target store last year.
Pittsburgh police say they’re looking for 29-year-old Rodney Howard Jr. in connection with Monday’s shooting death of 37-year-old Hosea Davis. They say Howard will be charged with criminal homicide in Davis’ death and he’s considered armed and dangerous.
Police say Davis was shot at least 16 times with an assault rifle before his body was found in an alley about 12:45 p.m. Monday.
Davis was credited with helping subdue a homeless man charged with stabbing the teen girl and three others at the Target in the city’s East Liberty section on March 25.
