On Jan. 19, in observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day, a celebration of the Life and witness of Dr. King was hosted by Eastminster Presbyterian Church, North Way Christian Community-East End Campus, East End Cooperative Ministry and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Since 1970, EECM has been striving to bring about this community of opportunity.
Supported by more than 40 congregations and a core of local businesses, generous donors and dedicated volunteers, all working together to build a community of opportunity in Pittsburgh’s East End.
For the first time in it’s 43-year history, EECM, through support from foundations, government agencies, congregations and individuals, built a Community House at the corner of Penn Circle North and Penn Circle East.
