
February is here and to kick off Black History Month, Kente Arts Alliance presented the Africa Calling Series of 2014, featuring the Asase Yaa African-American Dance Theater Feb. 1. at the New Hazlett Theater, located at 6 Allegheny Square East, North Side.
The New York based dance troupe performed with exciting, energetic and colorful African Dance, music and vocals. The performers heated up the stage, to a packed house, which was choreographed by Yao & Kofi Williams. The Kente Arts Alliance will continue to perform throughout the greater Pittsburgh area during the rest of this month.
