Black History Month Exhibit
Citiparks and ToonSeum present the “Beyond the Funny Pages: The works of art and life captured in comics” exhibit from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the City-County Building lobby, 414 Grant St., Downtown. This exhibit, in celebration of Black History Month, will feature artwork, photographs and other memorabilia to highlight the contributions of Orrin C. Evans, the first Black comic publisher; Jackie Ormes, the first Black female cartoonist; and Clarence Matthew Baker, a Black cartoonist from Pittsburgh. The exhibit will be showcased through Feb. 28. Celebrating Black History
The PNC Legacy Project presents its “Celebrating Black History Month” Exhibit from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the 600 Liberty Ave., Downtown. The exhibit honors the contributions of celebrated and everyday Pittsburghers, along with documenting the city’s transformation over the past 200 years. The exhibit will include touch screen timelines, oral histories; touch screen panels displaying historic images and more. The exhibit is free and open daily to the public.
