PITTSBURGH—The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Homicide Division arrested Corey Clark, 27, Penn Hills, March 4 for the March 1 shooting incident at the Rendezvous Phase III Bar in Homewood. Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Clark on March 3.
Clark is charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault (four counts), criminal attempt homicide (four counts), recklessly endangering another person (four counts), and VUFA—person not to possess a firearm. He was detained at the Adult Probation & Parole Office in Pittsburgh early Tuesday and then transported to police headquarters for questioning.
On Saturday, March 1, at approximately 1:19 a.m., Clark was inside the Rendezvous Phase III Bar, 7232 Hamilton Ave. Investigators believe that Clark was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and approached Vincent Holt, 27, who was standing near the rear bar area of the establishment. Clark immediately shot Holt several times in the torso and arm. He collapsed onto the floor and died at the scene.
Responding officers arrived and learned that there were four other people shot during the incident. All four of those victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators seized interior surveillance video from the bar and thoroughly reviewed the evidence. The shooting incident was captured on surveillance video. The video also shows the bar was extremely crowded at the time of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing as detectives are still trying to identify and interview witnesses from the bar.
Anyone who witnessed or has information relating to this case, is asked to contact the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Homicide Division at 412-323-7161.
