MARCH 6—Triedstone Baptist Church of Rankin, 18 Harriet St., Rankin, will host its 10th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration for Rev. Nathaniel and Rev. Terri Pennybaker. The celebration will begin with a two-day Revival Service, March 6-7, at 7 p.m. with guest preacher Rev. Dr. Stephen Russell, of Baltimore, Md.; a Pre-Anniversary Concert on March 8 at 5 p.m. with Aaron Clark and Ministry, of Ohio; followed by a Celebration Worship Service on March 9 at 11 a.m. with guest preacher Rev. Darryl Grayson of Ohio and an Anniversary Banquet at 5 p.m. at the Comfort Inn in Penn Hills with guest preacher Rev. Dr. William Curtis, of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. World Day of Prayer
MARCH 7—The Hill District Committee will host the 2014 World Day of Prayer from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Trinity AME Church, 2700 Wylie Ave., Hill District. WDOP is a worldwide ecumenical movement of women and men of many faiths who come together each year on the first Friday in March to observe a common day of prayer. Lunch will be provided. Young Gifted and Black
MARCH 8—The Christian Education Department of the AMEZ Church will host its 7th annual “Young, Gifted and Black” Awards Dinner at 4 p.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, 101 Mall Plaza Blvd., Monroeville. 500 Women In Purple
MARCH 9—The Jubilant Women for Christ Women’s Ministry of Sixth Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 6556 Shetland St., East Liberty, will host its 500 Women In Purple Worship Service at 3:30 p.m. The guest preacher will be Rev. Robin Pollard of Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church. Dinner will be served from 1-3 p.m. The church with the most women in attendance will receive a special gift. MARCH 10–The Men of the Mount Men’s Ministry of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host the “Series 33” Teaching Program from 7-8:30 p.m. Each second Monday of the month, Rev. James Hunt, of First Baptist Church in Penn Hills, will facilitate this seminar that takes a journey into authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus in His 33 years on earth. This is for men ages 17-70. Monthly Bible Study
MARCH 12—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host the Eat Study Pray Monthly Bible Study from 12-1 p.m. Every second Wednesday of the month, Rev. Dr. J.V.A. Winsett, pastor emeritus, Ebenezer Baptist Church, will facilitate this Bible study that will touch on the topics of Salvation, The New Birth, The Holy Spirit and others pertinent to the spiritual growth of all.
